ResCopy 2.0 is a tool which helps you manage resources in your stacks. Resources are things like sounds, pictures and icons. They are saved in the resource fork of your stacks. Other than the built-in Icon Editor, HyperCard doesn’t have any tools to manipulate resources
Use the Open… button to open the resource fork of a stack. Select one (or more, using the shift key) resources and click the >> Copy >> button to copy the selected resources from one stack to another. Use the Cut, Copy, Paste, and Clear menu items in the Edit menu to manipulate resources using the Clipboard. Additionally, some standard information (TEXT and PICT) can be copied back and forth between the card and ResCopy. Note: once text or a picture is pasted into HyperCard, it loses its resource information (ID number and name).
You can Rename and Renumber resources using the ResCopy menu. Choose Show Memory Info to have ResCopy display a constantly-updating RAM indicator. When ResCopy is behind a card window, choose Activate ResCopy to bring its window back to the front.
Look through the ResCopy stack for more information and instructions. (coming later…)
